Toothpaste On Pimples - 6 Steps To Help Remove Acne

Step #1 – Choose the perfect toothpaste:

All toothpastes are not created equal; and there are many varieties that include plain ones, toothpastes used for whitening teeth and those for sensitive teeth etc. Whitening toothpaste is going to aggravate sensitive skin and it is best to stay off such stuff, if you have sensitive skin.

Step #2 – Wash your face:

Washing your face is necessary to get rid of all the dust and grime and also to get rid of all traces of make-up. Using lukewarm water is a wonderful option, as it helps to clean the skin thoroughly while opening up the pores of the face. Do not use any soap or strong cleansers. Using a mild cleanser or mild face-wash will be adequate enough.

Step #3 – Preparations before applying toothpaste:

It is better to use gloves before applying the toothpaste on to your pimples. This assures that the entire procedure is not messy. Some people prefer using a piece of sponge instead, which is also fine.

Step #4 – Apply the toothpaste:

Now squeeze the tube and apply a dab of toothpaste on to your pimples and carefully apply a thick layer of paste on them. You can also spread the paste slightly on to the adjoining area, so that a small ring of paste encircles the base of the pimples.

Step #5 – Leave the paste to dry:

Once you have finished applying the toothpaste, you can leave the paste to dry on your pimples. Depending upon the sensitivity of your skin and effect of the toothpaste on your skin, you can decide about the duration.

  • If you have normal skin you can even allow the paste to dry on your face overnight.
  • People with sensitive skin should not leave it on overnight.
  • In case the toothpaste begins to burn your skin, it is necessary to wash it off immediately.

Step # 6 – Wash off the toothpaste:

Once the paste dries off, it will require some effort to wash it off the face. Using warm water and a soft cloth or a sponge will get the toothpaste off, quite easily.  Never use soap or strong cleansers to get the paste off the pimples.

It is necessary to follow the steps as they are mentioned here to get effective results. You can always use a moisturizer after you have washed off the toothpaste; in order to soothe the skin.
